An afternoon of highly interactive education about garden and food! 🌺🌴🫐🥗🦋🎶
These curious homeschoolers were able to:
👣explore the food garden
👅tasted some of the uncommon fruits and veggies including amaranth, kale, talinum, mulberry, bignay and roselle
♻️learn the two kinds of composting we do at the farm- bokashi and vermicomposting
🪱know about earthworms; how they live, eat, poop, pee and help make the soil healthy
🌱plant a seed in the nursery
🍋pick lemons and blue butterfly pea and turn it into a lemonade
🥬harvest different edible leaves and flowers that they made into a sandwich
🌧enjoy the rain and play muddy river
🍫 taste cacao fruit for the first time – where chocolates are made of!
🍌see how to chop down a banana tree to harvest its fruit.
